11.1. Warranty period

A manufacturer's warranty is provided for a period of 10 years on shelving units and for a period of 2 years on all other products from the date of delivery (or 3 years in the case of Portugal). This warranty does not exclude or limit any rights of the Customer arising under the provisions on non-conformity of goods with the contract. In the event of non-conformity with the contract, the Buyer may assert their rights at the Seller's cost and expense, and such rights are not affected by this warranty. The warranty is available exclusively to purchasers who are consumers. The warranty is not available to business purchasers, with the exception of sole traders who purchase the product for purposes unrelated to their professional or business activities.

11.2. The sofa warranty does not cover: (a) changes to the product resulting from normal use, such as deformation of one seat cushion relative to others arising from prolonged use of a single module, or natural wear of upholstery fabrics and materials;

(b) damage caused by the user or animals, including stains, scratches, snags, tears, or damage resulting from contact with liquids or sharp objects;
	
(c) defects arising from exposure to high temperatures (e.g. near radiators or in direct sunlight) or from prolonged intense sunlight, which may cause natural discolouration or deformation of materials;
	
(d) subjective assessments of comfort, appearance, or colour, such as personal perceptions of comfort or subjective comparison of colour with promotional imagery;
	
(e) defects or damage arising from improper assembly by the Customer (including both connectors and sofa covers);
	
(f) damage arising from improper care or cleaning carried out otherwise than in accordance with the instructions on the product labels or in the user manual;
	
(g) damage arising from improper use of the sofa, and in particular use of its components otherwise than in accordance with their intended purpose — for example, sitting on headrests or backrests contrary to the guidance set out in the user manual; and
	
(h) pilling of fabric, which is a natural characteristic of the material and is not covered by the warranty.

The sofa must be used and maintained in accordance with the care instructions provided. Fabrics should be cleaned only with products suitable for the specific type of fabric. Detailed care guidance is available in the product sheet and care instructions at www.tylko.com.

11.3. The blanket warranty does not cover: (a) changes to the product resulting from normal use, such as deformation or stretching arising from prolonged use;

(b) damage caused by the user or animals, including stains, scratches, snags, tears, or damage resulting from contact with liquids or sharp objects;
	
(c) defects arising from exposure to high temperatures (e.g. near radiators or in direct sunlight) or from prolonged intense sunlight, which may cause natural discolouration;
	
(d) subjective assessments of product colour in comparison with promotional imagery;
	
(e) damage arising from improper care or cleaning carried out otherwise than in accordance with the instructions on the product labels; and
	
(f) pilling of fabric, which is a natural characteristic of the material and is not covered by the warranty.

11.4. Bookend and bookstand warranty exclusions The warranty does not cover damage, defects, or deterioration in the quality of the product resulting from improper use, maintenance, or storage, and in particular: (a) improper cleaning and maintenance: failure to remove dust regularly, leading to its accumulation; use of inappropriate cleaning methods, including the use of harsh detergents or failure to dry the product after wet cleaning, which may cause streaks and stains.

(b) improper use and exposure to external factors:

submerging the product in water or prolonged exposure to moisture, which may damage the protective coating and metal components; placing the product near sources of high heat (e.g. radiators, fireplaces, heaters), which may damage the powder-coat finish; exposure to prolonged direct sunlight or intense artificial lighting, resulting in fading or discolouration.

(c) use of inappropriate materials and tools:

use of abrasive materials (e.g. wire wool, rough sponges) or chemical agents containing bleach, ammonia, or solvents, which may damage or dull the surface.

(d) mechanical damage:

damage resulting from dropping the product or striking it with hard objects, which may cause chipping of the surface coating. The warranty also does not cover natural wear and tear of the product resulting from its normal and proper use.
