Are there any functional differences in the shallower unit?

Yes, if you would like to create Edge Wardrobe, to optimize functionality, the 27cm, 36cm, and 45cm depth wardrobes all come with a forward-facing rail instead of a standard one. Furthermore, the 27cm deep wardrobe is not available with drawers.
