Is the Edge a modular system, and can I add to it later?

No. Tylko shelves and wardrobes, including the Edge line are not a traditional modular system. Each shelf is produced on-demand based on the exact design created in the configurator. Due to the precision of the components and the concealed hardware, it is not possible to add extra sections, drawers, or doors to your unit after your order has been finalized and assembled.
