Architect Paul Cournet had long been exploring the relationship between sound and space. Looking at the Tylko shelf system, he realised speakers have always been placed inside shelves – never designed for them. Together with Form Follows Frequency, a Rotterdam studio working at the intersection of acoustics and design, they turned that missing piece into reality: hi-fi, shelf-born.

Coaxial driver
A tweeter at the centre of the woofer means one source point for consistent sound throughout the room.
Plywood enclosure
Dense, non-resonating birch plywood. What you hear is the music, with no coloration.
Shelf-native dimensions
Engineered to fit a Tylko compartment exactly. A flush mount that eliminates cavity resonance.
Dual speaker orientation
Place horizontally or vertically. Rubber pads isolate the speaker from the shelf in either position.

These caught me off guard. Tylko speakers sound even better than they look, and deserve a place on the top shelf of hi-fi.
Steez83 A music producer, DJ, and co-founder of PRO8L3M, Steez83 is one of the most influential acts on the Polish music scene of the past decade. As a lifelong turntablism enthusiast, he has spent years developing a distinctive musical language that blends hip-hop roots with electronic music and sci-fi-inspired aesthetics.
Two cables. That's it.
Coax is a passive speaker. Pair it with a streaming amplifier like the WiiM Amp for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and multi-room audio.
You’ll need an external amplifier for the speakers to work.

Paul Cournet
CLOUDA French architect based in Rotterdam, Cournet designed the visual language and spatial integration of the Coax – ensuring it belongs inside the shelf, rather than simply sitting in it.
Form Follows Frequency
Audio EngineeringRotterdam-based studio working at the intersection of acoustics and design. For Tylko Sound, FFF led the acoustic design and engineering of the speakers, tuning the system for a precise, natural sound.
