How Many Books Can it Hold?

Since it's made of 13 layers of compressed birchwood - one of the strongest types of wood in existence- you can be sure you won't see that suspicious sag after just a few books are stored. Your books will be safe, sturdy and stylish in their bookshelf - each section can support up to 30kg of weight alone.

Will it hold large design books?

It will! With varying section heights of 18, 28 and 38cm you can be sure your oversized design editions will be just as secure as your paperback favorites. After months of research (and lots of measuring common household objects) Tylko found these heights were the ideal sizes to accomodate nearly every kind of item a person would care to store - including all types of reading materials.

Not only will your design books and oversized editions fit beautifully, every book in between will too. You can even decide on sections with doors for more concealed storage if you prefer to keep your bookshelf under wraps. Or mix and match with open and closed sections for a completely unique book shelf solution.

What about the finish?

Pulling your hardcover books out of your shelf hundreds of times will never damage your bookcase. With a high-quality laminate coating that offers excellent stain and scratch protection - while offering a stylish sheen- you can be sure your shelves will last as long as your classics.

Through years of use, your shelf will retain its sheen while resisting scratches. Not only is each shelf coated with laminate, the edges are hand-oiled to preserve the natural look of the beautiful wood - and add vital protection. With lesser-quality MDF and wood, corners can split or fray, or even swell when exposed to moisture. Tylko book shelves are designed to last for generations.
