Fabric Corduroy

Re-wool 2 by Kvadrat: where timeless design meets premium craftsmanship. Woven from 45% recycled wool, this breathable, insulating fabric keeps you comfortable year-round. Inspired by the tones of the Scandinavian landscape, it adds warmth and texture to any space.
Designed to retain its shape over time, the fabric is easy to care for with removable covers that allow for professional cleaning. With its long-lasting quality, it's a sustainable yet stylish choice.
Durability: 100,000 Martindale
The Martindale test is the gold standard for measuring fabric durability. It works by repeatedly rubbing the material against a wool textile under a set pressure. Conducted in cycles of 5,000 circular motions, the test continues until two threads show signs of wear.
Minimum requirements:
Private and low-traffic public areas: 10,000 – 15,000 rubs
High-traffic private and office spaces: 15,000 – 25,000 rubs
Public spaces and transportation: 25,000 – 45,000 rubs
Lightfastness: 6-7 (ISO 1-8)
Lightfastness measures how well a fabric holds its colour when exposed to light. In testing, samples are placed under artificial daylight for a set time. The results are rated on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 8 (highest), with each step up meaning the fabric takes twice as long to fade.
Pilling: 4 (ISO 1-5)
Pilling refers to the small fibre balls, or "pills," that can form on fabric with wear. It's graded on a scale from 5 (best) to 1 (worst), with higher ratings indicating a smoother, more durable surface.

Sink into the velvety softness of corduroy, where deep ridges create a rich texture that enhances any space. Crafted for everyday life, this durable fabric resists wear and keeps its shape and comfort intact. Plus, with removable, machine-washable covers (at 40°C), keeping it looking and feeling fresh is easy.
A timeless, sustainable choice, it combines style, durability and easy maintenance to stay looking new for years to come.

Sørensen leather lives with you. Tough enough to shrug off spills with just a wipe, it resists fading and ages gracefully over time.
Responsibly sourced with a soft matte grain, it brings a timeless style that balances everyday practicality with long-lasting beauty.
Lightfastness: 5 (ISO scale 1-8)
The leather’s colour will gradually lighten over time. This rating indicates how quickly that happens, with 1 being the fastest and 8 the slowest.
Fastness to rubbing: dry 4, wet 3-4 (ISO 1–5)
This measures how well the leather’s colour withstands fading or transfer when rubbed, both in dry and wet conditions.
Flexing resistance: 50,000 cycles
This shows how well the leather can handle repeated bending or creasing without cracking or damage. Our leather passes 50,000 cycles – matching the benchmark of commercial durability.

In lighter shades, a subtle contrast thread adds quiet depth to the weave. Woven to last and easy to care for.

Pilling is a natural part of a fabric's life – it comes with everyday use. As a looped, organically woven fabric, chenille is prone to snagging – some loops may protrude over time. This is inherent to the weave, not a defect.

I bought the sofa because of its modular design and the interchangeable covers. It’s very comfortable, stylish and versatile. There was a minor quality issue with one of the modules, which was resolved and rectified by customer service without any fuss. I’m very happy with the sofa and can also highly recommend the customer service.
